Social Events
During the ICWL 2009 Conference and Workshops a number of social events will take place. In addition, all participants registered with a full price get a voucher of a special rate for visiting the Carolus Spa during Aug. 16 - 23. Further information about the excursions around Aachen is available on the web site of City Aachen.

Reception
The conference reception will be hosted for ICWL 2009 participants on Wednesday
August 19, at 19:30 in the Forum M of Mayersche Bookstore. Drinks, snacks and fruits will be
served with live jazz music. Forum M is located on the roof floor of the largest bookstore of Aachen.
On the roof terrace visitors receive a nice
view of the cathedral, the city hall, and much other sightseeing in the heart
of the old city Aachen.

Banquet
The conference banquet will be hosted for ICWL 2009 participants on Thursday August 20, at 19:30 in the ballroom of the Old Spa House (Altes Kurhaus) of Aachen. Drinks and buffet will be served. Best Paper Reward will be announced and awarded. The Old Spa House has hosted many grand events since the beginning of the 18th centuries. It had once one of the most modern ballrooms in Europe.

City Tour
A guided city tour to the old city of Aachen will be given in
groups on Friday August 21, at 15:00. In order for us to
organize the tour groups better, participants need to register shortly before during the conference, if they want
to join in the tour.

Carolus Spa
We have got a voucher of special rate for each ICWL participant
registered with a full price. Participants can have one
visit to the spa with the voucher with a 15% price discount during August 16-23,
2009. Aachen is famous for the spa since the antient time. So Aachen
is also called "Bad Aachen", since "Bad" in German means spa.
Participants
might get a wellness feeling at visiting ICWL 2009.
