Abstract

There is real need for great flexibility in delivering e-learning content, not just CD and the web, but mobile and other devices. The Flash Platform is a way forward and that there are simple tools that can be used to create the content. I demonstrate how teachers/lecturers with low technical skills and high teaching skills can rapidly create content and assess learning/understanding. I present a case study on the National University of Singapore experience and use their own internal presentations and courseware to show greater involvement by teachers and students in learning. I present the trends as we see them, show how we address them, and show the lessons learnt and how solutions from Macromedia go to address these issues.

Macromedia Breeze is built on top of the Breeze Communication Server, and offers four unique applications that provide specific functionality. Breeze Presenter and Training let you easily deliver rich web experiences for distance learning, professional development, and on-demand collaboration. Educators, staff, and students can use such familiar tools as Microsoft PowerPoint to author, publish, and track Flash-based education and training materials. Macromedia Breeze Meeting lets you extend these capabilities with interactive presentations and live discussions. The new Breeze Events offers registration management and tracking for large online events and presentations.
